Recharged
Returned to work today, feeling physically tired but mentally and spiritually refreshed and recharged. Oh oh, and 3kg lighter!!! I didn't quite believe it when my family said that I lost weight, not until I stepped onto the weighing scale myself. Heh. I guessed the lack of instant coffee and milo as well as the perspiring helped a great deal. :)
This trip saw a few '1st' for me - My first mission trip, first time telling story in front of so many people (it was really not easy, but by God's grace I survived that dreadful 20mins. It seemed like an hour to me.), first time leading a group of Lahu teenagers, first time I had to shout some cheer in Thai (another nervous experience for me). Somehow all these 'firsts' lead me into thinking that I want to do more for Him. God gave me gifts with a purpose, and I know I need to use them before He takes it away.
Thoroughly enjoyed the one week. Didn't realised that I've been missing out on sooo much all these years, so I'm really glad I was there this time round. Every single bit of it - the activities, the discussions, the debriefs, the extra burden that some of us have to shoulder, the singing, campfire, fireworks, spending the nights on the stage in our sleeping bags (only to wake up the next morning shivering like mad), the sharing on the last night with Sam and WL, the pick up rides, the one shower session where we made ZL bathed last, it goes on and on...Its really hard trying to express my feelings in writing now, but for sure I can summarise my first mission trip in 5 words: 我绝没后悔!I'd definitely go again next time round! It may be hectic and stressful, but I'm telling you, ITS WORTH IT! In every single way!!
Waiting for the pics taken using Sam and Maxx's cameras. Quick quick, hehe...
