The people in my life (Part 1)
i really thank God for the people that has come and gone by in my life. To be honest, I've had little difficulties or troubles trying to get along with the people in my life. Maybe its a gift from God i guess. :)
Come to think of it, the main reason why i was able to enjoy every single stage of my life so far is PEOPLE. :)
Let's start from primary school:
I enjoyed hanging out with my classmates every single day. I remembered one incident vividly. It was after our PSLE, but school continued as per normal, except that we went school to do our own things instead of having lessons. I remembered i told my mum that i was feeling unwell one night and you know what? she didn't wake me up for school the next day!?! I tell u i was so upset by this u know why? Cos i had one less day to spend with my classmates..haha..simple as that..i mean yah lah it sounds silly now but c'mon lor, i was just a small boy then.. :)
moved on to sec sch and that was where i changed the most. Picked up vulgarities at a rapid pace, fought in class..twice, learned how to gamble..all sorts of bad things..ok a bit off topic..supposed to talk abt people ya?
yup, people. didn't really enjoyed my Sec1..cos my Grandma pass away April tt year. i was close to her, very close. took me a while to get over it and before i realised it i was in Sec 2. Was put in the Sports Class for the next 3 yrs. Sounds like the Sports School right? Yah lah, cos the Sports School director now was my sec sch principle, mr moo. Guess the Sports School concept started from my school? anyway i made more friends than 'enemies' between Sec2 to Sec4. :) my badminton team mates..they're the greatest!! my classmates (btw we were in the same class from Sec2 onwards), they're equally fantastic! though we had misunderstandings along the way but come end of the day, we were still great pals and buddies. I guess i missed sec sch life most..cos we would either play soccer or basketball after school, rain or shine, without fail :) The basketball boys, table-tennis boys and girls, and of course the badminton boys and girls. KC, joe, shuen, mel, tommy, junie, huixin, brenda...just to name a few of my best frens..and not forgetting the teachers! Mr Ganesan most notably. :) thank you so much for not giving up on us..even though me and shuen played magnetic Chinese Chess under the table during your Literature class.. lol..
i thought my poly days passed by the quickest, but still managed to make some good frens too..Mandy, Liyan, Alice, Jiawei, Chorlin, Melda, Jac and of course my dear LQ ;) ha..think i enjoyed projects the most during these 3 years. cos we would gather in school or someone's hse to do proj the whole day. i mean proj is boring lah..serious..but again its the company around me that kept me going.
Army was fun..maybe cos i got to 'scold' and order people around in camp ba..lol..><
Slacked through 3 mths of BMT before i was posted to 'hell' in OCS. To make things worse, i was posted to B18 in "hell'..Alpha company..rofl.
in my 40weeks as a cadet, i thought of going OOC (Out Of Course) on a number of occasions. Pressure, tough training and inhuman instructos almost made me quit, but i strived on with the help and encouragement of my platoon mates. Sam, Thilak, Fun Poh Meng, Joe (yes, its the same joe your saw 2para ago), my 'shifu' Yaofu, Steven Chng, Weiping, Deming..thanks! Even after I was commissioned, i had great teammates to work with. Team SeVIIen the best! Kuku Kai, Wee Lee, David, JS,Ping,Daniel,Uma, ..always entertaining and fun 'scolding' and tekan-ing people together, not forgeting the countless trips to Taiwan and Brunei.. :)
At my workplace. God sure blessed me with the best colleagues one can ever hope for. No kiddin.. :) Back in Zimmer, even when work sucked, it was always a relieve when i know i still have my kakis there for me. darren, simon, daisy, vivian, lynn, pris, bb..i'm sure worklife would have been so much boring without u guys.. ;) and you guys were the only reason why i didn't quit earlier.. :)
Today, i have fun and nice colleagues: Guan, Shawn, Peter, Isaac, Nana, Rachel..my lunch kakis. So fun lunching with these people..Any work blues will disappear with these people around. :) There's S.H.E too..but H left few mths ago..there's Emma, whose cubicle is also my hideout when i need to de-stress or relax.. :)
