this week...

Started the week pretty dull and moody. Monday and Tuesday OT till almost 9. Had a "Last Coffee Break" with the usual gang in the pantry where we took photos with Suan Seow. (hmm come to think of it I have yet to see the pics..)

But things got a bit more interesting yesterday. Had dinner at Astons with Princess and Time Capsule Man. We were lucky cos only had to wait 30mins. Hehe...food was not bad..wouldn't mind going back there again!

I had a ribeye extra cut with potato salad and fries plus a root beer. Fat fat lor! After that not enough. Ended up eating otahs at Eunos MRT..tsk tsk tsk...bui bui...hehe..

Then today had dinner with Sammi Cheng after work. Went Jln Kayu and had 2 egg pratas, 1 teh ahlia tarik and shared indian rojak. PIGGSSS!!! Haha..this saturday must swim 25 laps liao...*shake head*

ooohhh..tomorrow on leave! yay! but still need to go back for a couple of hours in the morning to complete 2 reports. Next week gonna be super dooper stressful, handling month end closing all on my own. -.- 不敢想咯！Sianz sianz...lets hope this is just seasonal.

Today another farewell...this time for my Buddy Suan Seow. Good move for him though. Glad that he's FINALLY moved on.. (:

One by one they left. Looking back, so many of my kakis left this yr. TB Foo opened the floodgates, then followed by QQ and Kris Mama. Now BC and 汉奸。Kinda affected by all these cos they've brought so much fun to my work life for the past 22mths. Worse still, I've heard stories abt more ppl intending to leave. Let's hope they dun come true. Well at least not within this yr lah. Demoralised enough.

Nxt wk approaching. Month end. First time going to do everything on my own. Feeling stressed about it. >.<

Beginning to hate the feeling of being alone. Used to enjoy some quiet time alone at home but not lately. Feeling kinda restless. Maybe I should sleep early. Argh my back hurts!

memory lane

Took a trip down memory lane today. Jio-ed my mother for breakfast at Eunos market. Eunos, i grew up there. Plenty of memories. My mum had 2 red bean pancakes and a cup of kopi-o while I had nasi lemak and teh c. Thereafter she went chit chat with an auntie who was STILL selling clothes in the market after all these years. Lets see, 21 to be exact. Me, i went around the neighbourhood snapping photos..hehe..

Blk 1. This was where I grew up. ^^ Stayed on the 12th floor. (3rd window from top and right)

Spent 2 years at this kindergarten.I'll always remember the 'Superman' who took off from the 14th storey and landed face flat on the grass patch behind our classroom. He survived by the way. Amazing...

The open space opposite my kindergarten where I always pestered my grandparents to let me ride those mini-motorbikes and cars. Somehow I always ended up in one of the longkangs nearby. -.-

The market/hawker centre used to be sited here. That was until a blaze swallowed the entire place abt 10yrs ago? Now, its just a grass patch.

Wanted to take more pics but didn't have enough time. Wondered if my childhood playmates still staying in this neighbourhood. :)

heavy heart

My heart feels kinda heavy these days. Guess I'm not totally gotten over it. And I'm sooooo distracted by the many things going on in office. Why at this time?? God help me please. I want and NEED to continue my journey...

foul mood

Boy am I in an incredibly foul mood today. Well, actually the final third of the day to be exact. Things were ok in the office today. Benitez never came back from lunch. Houllier left earlier cos of headache. A "No government" afternoon! That left me moodless to work. Is there even such a word? "Moodless". Well who cares, so long as I understand....

Mood swung right after I stepped out of office. Firstly because have to go class. Midway through class, realised that I forgot to bring my notes for the second half of lecture. Wanted to go home but ended up making use of break time to buy lecture pad to jot down notes. Surprised by my own decision not to go home. Hmmm...

The 3-hr lecture seemed like 6hrs tonight. Class finally ended. Thought maybe can drown myself in some music, only to realise that I left my earpiece at home!?! So that meant no music for my journey home. To compound matters, I found myself sitting in front of 2 women that would irritate me for the entire 50min bus ride. -.-

First, this ah bui lian who was already talking, or should I say swearing, on the phone from the moment I boarded the bus. Spray vulgarities nvm, but still swear so loud. Think very steady issit? Please lor, trying to 'impress' the public with your seemingly broad vocabulary of vulgarities is not cool. I repeat, not cool. -.-" Then there was this lady who was sucking her mucus back into her nose for a good half an hour. For goodness sake just blow them out lah. Piang eh, 2 of them combine power = no peace for me..kaoz..

Feeling hungry now..but cannot eat. Cos eat after 9pm = grow fat faster. Sleep better..hoping for a better tomorrow...zzzzzzz

Games Day

What a busy and stressful week it has been. All the handover and QBR preparation had me all tensed up. And of cos some really unnecessary pressure from Houllier made it worse than it already was. Thank God Games Day came to my rescue! Almost couldn't make it though. Shan't go into the details why but lets just say that Houllier was trying to be mean..

Anyways, had plenty of fun during our annual Games Day at Yishun Safra yesterday. Absailing, rock climbing, canopy walk, airgun range and mini treasure hunt were amongst the challenges we had to go through.

Didn't thought it would turn out to be that interesting actually. Probably one of the reasons was because they made this optional? That sort of lifted the pressure off many of us and made the whole event more fun and relaxed. You see, people were being pretty skeptical about attending the Games Day initially, afraid that they were going to be forced to go thorugh every single one of them. Well, typical Singaporeans I guess. For those who chose not to turn up, I can only say: "Its a pity!"

Like last year, I was "arrowed" to be team captain again this year. Being the only "younger" guy in the team, I was made to climb here and there, resulting in severe finger cramps whole of last night. -.- But overall it was fun lah cos my team mostly quite sporting de, though we finished 4th out of 5 teams. hehe..Ernest, Wendy, Wileen, Ellen, Sherry and Catherine..didn't know all of you so sporting and daring de lor! Haha...you guys made it really fun, thanks! And of cos credits to the Recreation Committee who planned for this fun filled event. Shall post a pic of my team when I get it from Ric Flair aka Psycho next week. (:

After that had Carl's Jnr & caught Rush Hour 3 at Vivo with Suan Seow, Silky, Lynn, Annie and Mario Girl. Not a fantastic show but worth a good laugh for some scenes.

Just came back from a quick lunch with Silky and Pattern Boy at AutoPoint. Most of my lunch kakis either outstation or at warehouse doing stocktake. Boring...

Heard PB bitch about his boss for the entire lunch and somehow I can emphatise with him. IMO I think his dept a bit "corrupted" in terms of differentiating between work allocation and personal relationships. Or maybe I should use the word "kelong" instead. Corrupted makes it sound more unethical that it actually is. Exactly like what Stone told me yesterday evening. Unfair treatment and taking things for granted. tsk tsk tsk...

Time to back to work now. Got 5 items on my to-do list but so far completed none of it :O *yawn*.. excuse me..AHHH boring Friday...
